Pool Tec technician listening for a leak with acoustic equipment
Advanced Leak Detection

Losing wateris a solvable problem.

We pinpoint the source, whether it is the plumbing, the fittings or the liner, then tell you exactly what the proper repair is and what it costs.

Most pool owners find out they have a leak by watching the level drop and guessing. Guessing gets expensive. We use the equipment that removes the guesswork, and we do not start cutting until we know where the water is going.

  1. 01

    Visual inspection

We start with the pool and all above ground plumbing, looking for the obvious before reaching for equipment.

  2. 02

    Pressure test

A complete pressure test of the plumbing system tells us whether any line is losing water.

  3. 03

    Conductivity test

Sensitive electrical equipment and water probes narrow the loss down to a point in the shell.

  4. 04

    Dye or acoustic testing

We dye test and acoustically test every sidewall fitting to confirm the source.

  5. 05

    Video scope

If a line looks to be leaking we run a monitor scope to inspect the return fitting at the wall.

  6. 06

    Mark for repair

Once the leak is located we mark it, then give you a written assessment and a quote for the proper repair.

Then the repair

Found is only half of it.We fix it too.

Once the leak is marked you’ll receive an assessment of the issue, an explanation as to the proper method of repair, and a quote to carry it out. Liner patching, fitting replacement, re-plumbing a return line, or a full liner replacement if the liner has simply reached the end of its life.

Because we build pools, we know the what, where and how of repairing any issue you might have.
